The poetry of Kazakh and Nogais zhirau carries historically and mentally conditioned integral character
it roots to traditional melos and etos, and is closely connected with the customs and rituals of ancient semi-nomadic society of nomad warriors with its martial traditions, principles, relations, including sacral beliefs, imaginations and verbal magic. Without all this complex, it is difficult to understand the features of poetry of Kazakh zhyrau, in particular, the formularity and stability of canonical forms, the stereotype of metaphors and symbols, historical semantics of markers, concepts, fetishes, calls, totems, vocabulary with meta-semantic meanings, ethnicons and personal names (anthroponyms), realities, terminology of ethnographic and mythological meaning which are frequently used in this poetry. Analyzing this poetry, it is necessary to take into account not only the historical context, but also its close connection with traditions of Turkic heroic epos which has centuries-old history and canonical principles. The laws and relations of Turkic heroic epos deeply get to the structure of poetry of Kazakh zhirau, and largely determine its organization and functionality of lexicon and stylistics. In this context, it is necessary to take into account the features of traditional line-up of rhythm of Kazakh alliterate verse, which is created, in a great deal, in the structure of poetry of zhirau.
