Description
The current article analyzes the genre of Kazakh heroic epic. It is a type of narrative poem that tells about the feats of arms of the batyrs, who possessed extraordinary physical and moral strength and defended their people from the raids of foreigners. The Kazakh epic originated on the basis of real historical events experienced by the Kazakh people at different times. Therefore, it is the most important monument that testifies to the heroic deeds of the batyrs, to the fortitude of the spirit, and to the customs of the Kazakh people. The works of the heroic epic have entered the structure of Kazakh folklore and occupy a special place within it, while the poetics of this genre lies in discursive forms of thinking that give way to artistic and figurative thinking.
