Description
In this article, the author asserts that the intellectual culture of Central Asian nomads, particularly ancient Mongolians, was deeply rooted in music and dance. These art forms were integral to their daily activities and spiritual practices. The traditional folk musical instrument, the "jew's harp," was a staple in every household and even found in women's cell phone boxes until recently, clearly demonstrating its prevalence before the spread of Buddhism and shamanistic worship. Furthermore, many traditional folk music styles and the rhythmic movements seen in their dances are undeniably linked to shamanistic practices.
