The study, led by M. Dorzhdagva from the International Institute for the Study of Nomadic Civilizations, spanned from 2008 to 2018 and involved 43 herders across nine provinces and 25 soums of Mongolia. The findings underscore that the traditional Mongolian long song is a powerful form of human interaction with the pristine natural environment, establishing a profound spiritual connection.
