Description | The volume presents Kazakh society from the late XVIII to XIX centuries and the historical events of this period which are described in the legends. It tells about the fightings between khans and sultans, leaders of peoples and the heroes who still wanted to preserve the independence of the country in wars with the foreign enemies, and national liberation movement. The content of the anthology volume includes "The Legend of Syrim-batyr", "The Legend of Zhangir Khan, Isatai-Mahambet and Their Closest Heroes", "The Legend of Kenesary-Nauryzbay", and the "legends associated with other historical figures of the 19th century". The volume includes legend about Bugybai, Bukarbai, Nausha, Koysary, Korakbai, Baiseit, Sauryk, and the dozens of heroes and legends, such as Sherniyaz, Zhanak, Suyinbai, Akan Seri. |
