Description The article provides the overview of the medieval manusripts in the museums and libraries of the Central Asian countries. These manuscripts were written in Turkic, Arabic and Persian languages, which were used by the medieval intellectuals in Central Asia. The variety of the authors - scholars, academicians, travellers, merchants reflected in manuscripts the political life, historical narratives and personalities, travellers' observations and useful records. This overview may serve as an useful introduction to the medieval manuscripts for the history of Kazakhstan in XV-XVII centuries.
