Description | The aim is to consider Kazakh traditional music in a broad cultural and historical context that covers the civilizational parameters of nomadic culture. In this regard, the methods of comprehensive and systematic study of traditional music, as well as the method of comparative-typological study of Central Asian nations’ musical culture, are put forward. Based on historians’ (particularly, А.Orazbaeva’s monographs) works, the author raises the issue of the civilizational paradigm in studying Kazakh and other related nations’ traditional music. The article makes the following important conclusions: а) Kazakh musical culture demonstrated very well the socio-cultural experience of nomadic society «in sublated form», carrying the striking integrity of culture and its archetypes and codes through the centuries b) the music of Turkic-Mongolian nations retained the sings of stable unity of musical thought, bearing record to the unity of the civilizations that appeared in the period of the historical community of nations in the epoch of nomad empires. |
